Network forums

Human resource practitioners who have attended our accreditation programmes join our global TMSDI Network, and are invited to attend our exclusive Network Forums.

Participants can make connections with fellow members and share perspectives on how profiling helps to develop and retain talent and build high-performing teams and leaders.

Our next forum will take place on Wednesday 14 October 2009 in central London.

Martin Chambers, Network Rail, & Jayne Mallon, Consultant
On the right track

Martin is Network Rail’s Project Director responsible for the £600m redevelopment of Birmingham’s New Street Station. He and Jayne talked about how they are combining the results of the Team Performance Profiling of the lead consultant (Atkins) and delivery partner (Mace Limited) with the Team Management Profile to integrate team members from the three organisations of this prestigious project and highlight areas needing special attention.

Martin and Jayne also discussed their ongoing development programme using the TMS suite of instruments that Jayne is facilitating as part of the project's long-term 'team maintenance plan'.

Improving sales performance through teamwork at Barclays

David spoke about how he has worked with the Barclays Central Regional Home Finance Team to transform their sales performance, moving them from bottom three to top of the tables. Hear how a Team Management Systems development programme contributed to this improvement, and helped balance short term performance with long term aims.

John Sutherland, Strategic Resource
From uncertainty and change, to coherence and consistency


John runs a small consultancy firm that specialises in the assessment and development of senior management teams and their boards. He described his use of the Margerison-McCann Profiles in management team due diligence and shared insights from his many years of providing on-site senior team development work. Network members discovered how John ensures that credible teamwork mechanisms are developed for achieving or exceeding business plans.

Coaching, the Team Management Profile and an appreciative inquiry approach

Sue shared her own approach to coaching, primarily aimed at those facing the challenges of team-based leadership and new career choices. From telephone coaching to long term interventions, she explored how she incorporates the Team Management Profile and how an introduction to appreciative inquiry can add a complementary development focus.
