Where do you focus your energy at work?
The Opportunity Orientation Profile is a unique tool that measures the balance of energy that you put into seeing the opportunities or obstacles at work and how you approach risk and ambiguity.
|
What is the Opportunity Orientation Profile (QO2®)?
The Opportunity Orientation Profile gives personal feedback about how you solve problems, how easily you sustain goal-focused energy and how you handle change and ambiguity. The Profile illustrates the five sub-scales that are used to calculate your personal QO2® score.
|
MTG Energy
Multi-Pathways
Optimism
Fault-Finding
Time-Focus
|
how much energy you put into 'Moving Towards Your Goals'
the extent to which you find ways around obstacles
the extent to which you expect positive outcomes
how good you are at seeing potential obstacles
a measure of your psychological time and orientation to the past, the present or the future
|
The Profile enables each individual's opportunity orientation to be benchmarked against a validated model of risk orientation, for developing a balanced orientation within the team. It improves mutual understanding amongst team members, helping to overcome conflict and establishing confidence.

"...[The Opportunity Orientation Profile] measures the balance of energy people put into seeing either the rewards or the potential pitfalls of change...the pacing notes are really useful; they provide concrete strategies based on individuals' attitudes to change...understanding an individual's orientation to change is the first step to setting targets and reward structures that really motivate them."
